Marci’s website

Hi! I’m András Márton Gunyhó,^[▼] [[ɒndraːʃ maːrton guɲɦoː], as a Hungarian would say. To be honest, I don’t know how to pronounce my name in English either, so don’t worry about it.] but you can call me Marci.^[▼] [Martsy] Welcome to my website.

For now, this is all I have here:

• Finnish message to EU representatives regarding Chat Control
• Directional coupler quick reference for quantum engineers
• How to find out which OpenType font features are supported by a font on Linux
• A trick to eliminate $2\pi$ (sometimes)

Here are some things that I have made:

• Shower Cat - A puzzle-platformer game originally made in a weekend during Global Game Jam 2026, and then polished a bit further
• Taka - A small stack-based programming language
• Viimeinen metro - A website that shows when the last metro in Helsinki leaves from each station
• tere - A program for quickly browsing folders in the terminal
• Monisto - Some electronic music I’ve made with a friend

About me

I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Su­per­con­duct­ing Quan­tum Elec­tron­ics Re­search Team lead by Pro­fes­sor Yasunobu Nakamura in RIKEN, near Tokyo. I am developing software for performing quantum error correction on superconducting quantum computers.

Previously, I completed a PhD on SNS microwave sensors and superconducting qubit readout at the Quan­tum Com­put­ing and De­vices group in Aalto University, Finland.
